Een nieuw patroon. Eenvoudig en speciaal tegelijk. Afhankelijk van welke versie je maakt. Ook unisex afhankelijk van welke versie je maakt. 😉 Het Jente patroon is een ideaal beginnerspatroon voor een topje en een jurk. Kijk je even mee naar de verschillende versies?
A new pattern. Simple and special at the same time. Depending on which version you make. Also unisex depending on which version you make. 😉 The Jente pattern (EN) / patron Jente (FR) is an ideal beginners pattern for a top and a dress. Let’s check out the different versions.
Het topje kan een A-lijn topje zijn, eenvoudig of met ruffles. Hier zie je deze met ruffles in een eenvoudige, dunne jerseystof van Bohélie fabrics, een nieuw stoffenmerkje van de toffe Aurélie.
The top can be an A-line top, simple or with ruffles. Here you see the one with ruffles in a simple, thin jersey fabric from Bohélie fabrics, a new fabric brand from the sweet Aurélie.
De rechte versie zonder ruffles vinden we hier ook perfect jongensmateriaal. Zo’n marcelleke in de zomer kan toch niet ontbreken in zo’n jonge mannenkleerkasten, toch? Deze schattige man in z’n mooi marcelleke is Nio, mijn toekomstige schoonzoon 😉 met de liefste mama die de mooiste kleertjes maakt.
We think the straight version without ruffles is also perfect boy material here. Such a tank top in summer can’t be missing in those boys’ closets, right? This cute little man in his beautiful tank top is Nio, my future son-in-law 😉 with the sweetest mom who makes the most beautiful clothes.
Wat de jurk betreft, kan je uiteraard kiezen voor de basic versie, een gewoon tank top bovenstukje en een rokdeel eraan. Deze zie je hier in french terry met bijpassende boordstof. Die zit echt op 1-2-3 in elkaar!
As for the dress, you can of course choose the basic version, a plain tank top top and a skirt piece attached. This picture here presents this simple version in french terry with matching border fabric. This one really comes together in no time!
Maar er is ook een lage rug versie waarbij de achterpanden overlappend aan elkaar genaaid worden. Eén van mijn favoriete versies van dit patroon. De gele versie is een spons stofje met witte boordstof. De oranje versie is een ottoman stof. Dit jurkje valt wat stijver en wijder, maar de dame in kwestie vind dat net geweldig! Afhankelijk van de stof krijgen deze zelfde jurkjes toch nog een ander uitzicht. Ook deze versie zit echt heel snel in elkaar. In de handleiding kan je kiezen tussen het rimpelen van het rokdeel met Framilon (rimpelelastiek) of met rimpeldraden. Ik vind die eerste manier, met Framilon, het makkelijkste en snelste met het mooiste resultaat. Je kan hiermee zelfs ook wat extra ‘rek’ toevoegen aan de taille als je wil, waardoor het jurkje er weeral anders uitziet.
But there is also a low back version where the back pieces overlap. This is one of my favorite versions of this pattern. This yellow Jente is made from a sponge fabric with white ribbing. The orange one is made from an ottoman fabric. This dress drapes a little stiffer and wider, but the lady in question just loves that! Depending on the fabric these same dresses get a different look. This version is also really quick to put together. In the instructions, you can choose between gathering the skirt piece with Framilon (framelastic) or with gathering threads. I find that the first way, with Framilon, is the easiest and quickest with the best results. You can even use this to add some extra ‘stretch’ to the waistline if you want, which again makes the dress look a little different.
Wil je wat meer ‘prutsen’? Voeg dan ook aan de jurk ruffles toe. Dit kan zowel bij de basic versie als bij die met lage rug. Het is wat meer werk, maar zo maak je weer een helemaal andere jurk met hetzelfde patroon.
Not scared of a bit more “fuzz” and a bit more “girly”? Then you can add ruffles to the dress. You can do this with the basic version as well as with the low back version. It’s a bit more work, but it allows you to create a completely different dress with the same pattern.
En… last but not least… We hebben in de handleiding 4 verschillende manieren beschreven voor de afwerking van de armopeningen en de halsopening. Deze variëren van ‘heel eenvoudig super snel’ tot ‘wat meer oefening en dit lukt perfect’. Deze verschillen in afwerking zorgen ervoor dat je jurkje of topje er telkens anders uitziet. Met dit ene patroon kan je dus best een veelzijdige zomergarderobe samenstellen.
And… last but not least… We have described in the tutorial 4 different ways to finish the arm openings and the neckline. These range from ‘very easy super quick’ to ‘a little more practice and this will succeed perfectly’. These differences in finishing make sure that your dress or top looks different every time. Again, with this one pattern, you can put together quite a versatile summer wardrobe.
